Constitution High School is fortunate to have a number of significant partners in the creation and on-going operation of our school.  The National Constitution Center and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History are our founding partners.  We have subsequently entered into other significant partnerships such as with the law firm of Ballard, Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP.

Student Admission Procedures

Constitution High School is a City-Wide Admission School which means students are accepted from throughout the city. Pupils must meet the following criteria in order to be a candidate for admission:

  • A’s, B’s and C’s on one’s Report Card;
  • Ten (10) or fewer school absences or latenesses;
  • A positive behavior record;

The application process begins and ends in the fall of each school year.  Once students apply and have been identified as candidates for admission, they enter the School District of Philadelphia's lottery system for selection.  It is expected that from 100 to 125 students will enter each year as ninth graders.  School transfer admissions in the tenth grade is a possibility.

Applications and further information may be obtained from the student’s eighth grade school counselor.
